Fans rated the artist’s videos to determine the top 20 finalists. In the final phase of the contest, Rick Barker, former manager for Taylor Swift, Mike Jennings of Nashville Spotlight TV and Kim Corcoran of Talented Kids Depot, selecting the top 3 winners from the top 20 rated music artists.

Grand prize winner, Rylie Brown takes home $1,000 and will meet with Rick Barker, former manager for Taylor Swift. Rylie will also have an entire Nashville Spotlight TV show dedicated to her. The half hour show will air two days per week for one month on Nashville Cable TV, at a future date to be determined. In addition, Riley will be featured at the world famous Nashville Palace for two days, during the week of the CMA Music Festival (June 6-9, 2013). 15 year old Kailey Swanson, from Studio City, California took second place and fan favorite, 18 year old Lindee Link of Peachtree City, Georgia came in third place. The second and third place winners will each be featured on Nashville Spotlight TV and perform at the Nashville Palace during the week of the CMA Festival.

 Dallas’ Own Kenton Duty and Emmy Winner Wayne Brady Team Up with Hollywood Launch to Search for the Next Triple Threat Super Stars of DFW

Dallas, TX (August 7, 2012) – Bring on your Voice, Dance, and Acting Skills!

Dallas’ own Kenton Duty, star of Disney’s Shake It Up, and 4-time Emmy Award-winning TV Personality, Comedian, Grammy-nominated Singer, and Actor, Wayne Brady have teamed up with Hollywood Launch and are excited to announce a major Scholarship Audition seeking the next Triple Threat Super Stars!

Duty is returning to his hometown with hopes to give other aspiring artists a chance to train and make it to the top. He began auditioning for roles in Los Angeles after he was discovered at a workshop in Dallas by Hollywood talent agent Cindy Osbrink. Duty first gained popular notoriety in the role of young “Jacob” on the hit TV series, “Lost”. In 2010, Duty landed a starring role on the Disney Channel original series, “Shake It Up!” as the flamboyant dancer/fashion designer antagonist, “Gunther Hessenheffer”. Duty states, “I am excited to afford someone the chance to train with the best and to help them reach their dreams. The entertainment industry is looking for triple threats so you have to do it all!”

Brady has already given out close to $20,000 in scholarships to the Hollywood Launch program in Los Angeles and is now branching out to Dallas. He says, “As a performer, I wish I would have had Hollywood Launch. It is an amazing program!” His daughter is a current member of the program in LA and trains privately under Hollywood Launch’s creative director Jonathan George.

The president and owner of Hollywood Launch DFW, Jonathan George, says “Dallas has the best undiscovered talent in the country and I am so excited to be able to come home and help them launch their careers.” He went to school in Sunnyvale K-8^th grade and then graduated in ’91 from Poteet High School in Mesquite. He moved to LA in 2000. After winning the title of Grand Champion on Ed McMahon’s “Next Big Star” in 2001, he began developing young stars like Victoria Justice (Nick’s Victorious), Stefanie Scott (Nick’s A.N.T. Farm), Caitlyn Taylor Love (Disney’s I’m In The Band) and is now working with industry moguls Simon Fuller, Perez Hilton and Jamie King on their newest boy band project, IM5. George is also the creator and executive producer of the Youth Rock Awards, which celebrates the hottest young stars under the age of 25 in film, TV, music and dance.

Hollywood Launch has partnered with School of Rock in Dallas. HL develops and brands aspiring talent into competitive triple threat artists. The program and it’s staff have been responsible for developing top young stars like Ross Lynch (Disney’s Austin & Ally), Cymphonique (Nick’s How to Rock),  Big Time Rush, Taylor Lautner  (Twilight), Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars), Zack Montana (Disney’s NBT),  R5 (Hollywood Records), Aaron Landon (Disney’s Crash and Bernstein) among so many others.  Many stars’ children are part of the program including those of Wayne Brady, Brian McKnight, DeBarge and Master P. The winners will be announced at 5pm on September 16th with a Hollywood style Red Carpet Event to follow starting at 6pm.

Good Morning Texas host Amy Vanderoef will be joining the celebrity panel for the Wayne Brady and Kenton Duty Scholarship and Red Carpet Event.

Amy is a triple threat talent. She is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC and actually began performing with the New York USO, entertaining US military forces and veterans at bases and hospitals. She has toured America as Ms. Frizzle in The Magic School Bus, been a correspondent for Good Morning America, crowned Miss Connecticut USA in 2001, operated The Actors Academy in CT, worked in casting and is signed to the Campbell Agency in Dallas.

Nickelodeon Cancels How to Rock, iCarly and Victorious

We are sad to see these great Nick shows get cancelled! We are so proud of Cymphonique. We know that she has more great things in her future!!

With all these cancellations, it means that new shows are on the horizon! Which means that there are more opportunities for other great talent out there!

When the opportunity comes…you must be prepared! Don’t wait til the last minute…make sure you are ready to have your own show and to be able to monopolize on the opportunity! No matter who you are training with…make sure you are training every aspect- vocals, performance, dance, acting, social media, hosting, voice overs etc!  We hope to see another Hollywood Launch artist make it to the top!!

Hollywood Launch LA is throwing out major high fives to their artists Kindal Tate, Natalia Loya, Sara Rowe and Kyle Villalovos for competing in the So Cal Icon Vocal Competition Finale last Saturday. Kindal Tate and Natalia Loya won their age group and walked away with amazing prizes including a once in a life time photo shoot and recording studio time.

Congrats to 11 year old Noah Urrea for winning the 2012 SoCal Icon Vocal Competition and coming home with a scholarship to the triple threat training program Hollywood Launch. It was a very competitive competition but in the end Noah came out on top. Along with Noah, Kindal Tate from Hollywood Launch LA and Natalia Loya from Hollywood Launch LA also won Socal Icon in their age division. The talent that is coming out of HL LA, HLDFW and HLPortland is really a force to be reckoned with.

Kenton Duty from Disney’s Shake It Up is using his Gunther powers for good  and not neon spandex. Kenton has become a vital member of the Hollywood Launch Family. He has made his mark along side Hollywood Launch mentors such as Wayne Brady (Let’s Make A Deal), Mauli B (Music Director for Nickelodeon stars such as Big Time Rush, Victoria Justice and Hollywood Records R5), Kaya Jones (former Pussycat Doll, Hueman Race Records), Justin Thorne (NLT, One Call) just to name a few. On September 15-16th Hollywood Launch DFW held the first ever Wayne Brady and Kenton Duty Scholarship Audition at the School of Rock in Dallas. We were lucky to have Kenton there to support the artists that were auditioning for the triple threat training program.
